Did you consider how ideas would work before you tried them?
Yes, I had to figure out a strategy on how to get the circle to look like a 3D image at a certain angle. I tried it one way and it wasn't quite right so I took another strategy and it worked out. When did you step back and analyze your work during this project? During the whole process of creating this project I had to keep analyzing it to make sure it would look 3D at a certain angle.

I chose to paint this piece of art because I was inspired by Marsden Hartley's oil painting called, "Indian Fantasy." His artwork contained nature, water, and much Native American heritage. I also greatly enjoy nature myself so I created this painting of mountains, trees, grass, the sky and the stream. While doing this project I really enjoyed using new techniques with painting. Such a using a fan brush and learning how to blend better. Also, how blending different colors turns out well and sort of creates a type of realistic feel to the piece. All in all this project inspired me to look further into my native American heritage and see nature in a whole new perspective.
